Birthed in the heart of Motown, The Rechordz is a Billboard-charting, Platinum and
Gold-selling production team known for shaping the modern sound of the Midwest. Founded in 2010 by Antoine Edwards and Chris Lee, and joined by Head of A&R Jada Finch, the Detroit-based, multi-platinum company specializes in music production, songwriting, marketing, and A&R.
We’ve helped craft regional anthems for standout Detroit artists like Icewear Vezzo, Skilla Baby, Allstar JR, and Kash Doll. In 2020, we reached global audiences with the Platinum-certified hit “Whole Lotta Choppas” by Sada Baby featuring Nicki Minaj — TikTok’s 7th most-viewed song that year, with over 1 billion views. Since then, our work has continued to resonate on a mainstream level — with credits including Cardi B, Future, Sexyy Red, City Girls, Shenseea, Flo Rida, and Wizkid, as well as placements with ESPN and Fortnite. We’ve also partnered with respected brands like UJAM.
